Michael and Alicia got married a couple months ago at Coldwater Gardens in Milton; it was my first time shooting a wedding at this venue and oh my goodness, it was beautiful! Coldwater Gardens is a unique venue. They are truly a garden with several greenhouses growing all sorts of plants and vegetables, they have a garden area, chickens, and you can rent one of their cabins, glamping tents, or the treehouse to stay in. How cool is that! But, besides all that, they are the perfect setting for a gorgeous wedding. Alicia and Michael’s wedding included lots of greenery, deep reds and periwinkle blues with accents of gold. If you want a romantic feel to your wedding, include a deep red in your florals and decorations… it does the trick. Also a flower crown. Definitely get a flower crown too. 😉
The entire theme of the decorations were centered around hexagons and other geometric shapes, which made for a very cool, modern feel. Notice all the calligraphy also… every single piece, from the table seating charts, to the signs, and the place setting coasters were all hand lettered by Alicia herself! My jaw dropped when I saw how much she had done and my place setting is still sitting on my desk at home where I get to see it every day. They also included their adorable pup as their ring bearer and Alicia and her parents broke off into a choreographed dance during her father/daughter dance. It was a seriously awesome day.
Enjoy! It’s a good one. 🙂
