The Lee House is one of my favorite wedding venues in downtown Pensacola. I love everything about it. It’s gorgeous rooms are perfect for getting ready in, the back patio is beautiful; it’s just amazing for an indoor/outdoor wedding. Being located right in the heart of downtown doesn’t hurt either. So perfect for photos.
Sarah and Ross got married at the Lee House a couple weekends ago… Oh man! We were sweating it! The chance of rain was so high all week leading up to their wedding, but the day of, it ended up being the most gorgeous day! The weather could not have been better. Love days like that. But I had such a great time getting to hang out with Sarah, Ross, and their families and friends all day. I love this job so much.
Sarah when asked about why she and Ross chose the Lee House for their wedding: “We chose Lee House because we really wanted our wedding to be a marriage of our families, not just us. It was so nice to have everyone stay at Lee House together for the entire weekend and build memories together as one, new family.”
“I wanted a fitted gown from the time I could imagine myself in a wedding gown. Luckily I grew the curves to fit into it haha! One special story about my gown happened after the wedding when the groom and I were alone and a nearly cried because I didn’t want the day to be over and I REALLY didn’t want to say goodbye to my dress. Ross told me that anytime I get sad about missing our wedding day that I could put on my dress around the house and he would cook me a fancy meal so I could enjoy it all over again.” Isn’t that the cutest thing ever!? Ross, you’re a keeper!
Sarah wanted her reception to have a garden party feel to it, so lemons was her main detail for the fresh feel they bring.
“I loved my cake. Not so much eating it, but the way it looked. It was EXACTLY what I wanted.”
“We both really loved dancing with our friends and family. They are everything to us.”
Sarah’s advice for future brides: “Listen to people when they tell you to soak it all in. The day really does go by as fast as they say. You will be sad when it’s over, but looking at your pictures will be your favorite thing you have to remember the day by.”
Special thanks goes out to… “Our family, friends, and every single person who helped us plan along the way. Very special thanks to Erika for spending an entire day with me scouting out photo spots for after the wedding. Photos are all you have left when the day is over, it means so much that she cared enough to give me fairy tale photos.”
