Victoria and Nick’s wedding at Old Christ Church and the Palafox House in Downtown Pensacola was so perfectly them. Victoria has the most sparkly personality I’ve ever seen and Nick absolutely adores every single thing about her. To be there for their wedding day was such an honor.
The day started off with both Victoria and Nick getting ready at the Crown Plaza in Downtown Pensacola (next door to each other too, I might add. Giant high five for making it super easy for me to run from room to room.) One of Nick’s friends is a local barber and when I heard that he would be getting a haircut and a beard trim before getting into his suit, I was ecstatic. There was no way I wasn’t going to get some photos of that. I get to take photos of Brides getting their hair done at every wedding, but the shots I get of the groom is usually just him getting dressed, so I was so excited for this.
“I wore an Allure Bridal dress from Simply Elegant. I fell in love with the classic satin dress with buttons yet the dress had so much beading at the top to add some sparkle and the beaded low back detail! I also had the brooch bouquet made by Fiore and it came out absolutely perfect!”
Nick about the suits he and his Groomsmen wore: “We wore a light grey suit with a pop of purple in the bow tie. Going with the theme of the wedding I decided to wear the crystal bow tie.”
They chose to have their ceremony at Old Christ Church. Victoria said, “We absolutely love Old Christ Church! It is very intimate and beautiful!” and I couldn’t agree more. It is beautiful and full of such historic charm.
“Having the first look was our favorite part of the day! All of this day is about you and your future spouse and to share that moment with each other made it extremely intimate and we will hold that moment in our heart forever!”
When asking Victoria what her funniest moments of the day were, she said “How Nick was so eager to get me from my dad he didn’t give my dad the chance to give me away! And how I got flustered when saying my vows! Hehe”
Victoria about her bridesmaids: “Every single one of these girls have been with me for so much! I couldn’t have imagined our perfect day without them by my side!”
And Nick about his guys: They are my closest friends and family! The ones who have been through thick and thin with me.
What were some of the sweetest memories from your wedding day? “Our first kiss as husband and wife at the church in front of all of our family and closest friends! Our dances with our mother and father! And showing Nick his surprise which was the standing flamingo cake and his best friends initials on his ankle. A little touch to remind him that Brian would be there for him and will never be forgotten.”
“We danced to The One by Kodaline. We heard this song and instantly related to the lyrics. Instant goosebumps and happy tears!”
Advice for Future Brides: “Don’t stress over pleasing every last person (its impossible) and don’t stress over every last detail. At the end of the day you are starting your life with your best friend and all those little details will go unnoticed because ultimately your love for one another is the only detail that matters! And turn your phone over to your maid of honor! Enjoy the day down to the second it goes by so fast it’s over before you know it!”
Advice for Future Grooms: There is no need to be nervous. If your truly happy, the day will be perfect no matter what happens!
