2020 Wedding Couples have had it anything but easy this year, but you wouldn’t know it from the look of Emma and Dylan’s wedding at 5 Eleven. They had a few hiccups along the way, with the major one being a change of venue one month before their wedding. If you know me, you know I LOVE 5 Eleven in Downtown Pensacola. It was already one of my favorite venues with it’s gorgeous exposed brick interior walls, but now that they’ve added their gorgeous bridal suite upstairs, it has worked it’s way into my top 3 for sure.
When I asked Emma about why she chose 5 Eleven, she said, “CORONA! Lol. We may have swapped at the last second, but we wouldn’t change anything about it! We wanted it to be fun but also classy.” And 5 Eleven is just that!
Emma got married in the most beautiful, dreamy wedding dress. She said she chose this dress because “My dress reminded me of the coast with the bottom looking like waves and being so bouncy. The top was more elegant.” Fitting her wedding vibe perfectly.
What were some of the sweetest memories from your wedding day?
“I overheard the echo from downstairs of my dad telling Dylan that I looked gorgeous. The first look was so special. Dancing with the parents were also such sweet memories.”
The couple about their ceremony:
“We wanted the ceremony to highlight the Lord in the center of our commitment to each other.”
Emma about her Bridesmaids:
“These ladies are my sisters and closest girls in my life. I knew they would be supportive and do anything to make the day perfect. I know we will always be close.”
Dylan about his Groomsmen:
“These guys are lifelong friends and brothers to me. I know they will always be in our lives.”
“For our First Dance, we chose “Dance With Me” by Phillip Phillips. I love this song because it talks about dancing together after everyone leaves. Our marriage was so much more than a party, but a start to our lifelong commitment.” ~ Emma
What were some of your favorite memories of your wedding day?
“I loved when Travis, a groomsman, said Dylan’s face lit up when he saw me during the first look. The speeches that Julia and Christian made were also a favorite! I think the Troy fight song was a great goodbye to our lives in Troy.”
What were some of your funniest memories from the day?
“I loved Nico’s entrance to the dance floor as a groomsman! By far the funniest moment was when my mom busted into the middle of a dance circle to do a solo to Brick House!”
What is something that happened on your wedding day that you didn’t expect?
“Adding extra time for dancing! I didn’t realize people would still be having so much fun when it was time to leave! The confetti at the end was such a fun ending. I also got a quiet moment with Julia, a bridesmaid, in the courtyard after everyone left to say goodbye. It was a time I didn’t know I needed.”
Advice for Future Brides:
“Soak up every moment! When I told myself not to worry about the little hiccups of the day, I wasn’t stressed at all!”
Advice for Future Grooms:
“Spend time with your friends and take note of the guests who went out of their way to support you.”
Thanks goes out to:
