Summerour Studio in Atlanta, Georgia is like a little piece of Italian heaven. As you enter the venue through their brick courtyard with walls lines with vines, you feel like you have just stepped into a Tuscan Villa. This gorgeous studio is the perfect setting for a wedding and I was THRILLED when Courtney and Michael had me come up to photograph theirs. They were originally supposed to get married at the Seaside Chapel, but after deciding to have their wedding home in Atlanta instead, they couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful venue.

I wore a fitted Martina Liana bridal gown with Badgley Mischka heels. My earrings were diamond drop, and I also wore a dainty diamond necklace and matching bracelet that my mother had given me. One of the most special pieces of jewelry I wore was a ring my mother gifted me the day before our wedding. It was a ring she had made from my father’s wedding band and the diamonds in one of her bands. After losing my father a few years back, it was the perfect gift, and one that allows me to have them both walking with me every step of the way.

Our venue in Atlanta was chosen after several postponements. We originally were scheduled to get married in Seaside, FL, but then 2 months out, decided to move our wedding to Summerour Studio in Atlanta to allow both us and our guests a much easier time in traveling to the wedding. This venue was beautiful, even without the additional decor, and it felt like an escape from the busy city life of Atlanta, which is what we had hoped for initially.

Our ceremony was emotional and intimate. We had a small group of our closest family and friends in attendance with us, which made it even more special. We chose to proceed with standard vows, but were so beyond excited at this point to finally getting married that I jumped the gun during the ceremony! It summed up our story and had everyone laughing, especially our officiant.

We truly felt that having an intimate ceremony of close family and friends allowed us the opportunity to engage and enjoy the presence of everyone. We loved being able to talk and laugh with our guests all night. Our first look was also an extremely special moment, knowing that we had finally arrived at our big moment together and we get to officially start our journey as husband and wife.

Courtney’s Advice for Future Brides:
Don’t stress the small things. The day will be the most magical and exciting day of your life, regardless of what you’ve faced leading up to it. Enjoy the intimate moments with your groom when you can, because you don’t get many throughout the day. And keep it small… having an intimate ceremony was absolutely perfect. Go with the flow, soak in every minute of the day, and smile through it all because it’s totally worth it, I promise!
